From Aging-in-Place to Aging-in-Community

“Aging is, and always has been, a team sport. The myth of ‘aging in place’ harms people by defining the decision to share one’s daily life with others as failure.”

– Dr. Bill Thomas

Strong social networks are our best tool for optimal aging. Sara Zeff Geber, author of “Essential Retirement Planning for Solo Agers” and “Live Smart After 50!” will share how the choice to age in community creates the best opportunities to build these networks to pursue your passions, conquer loneliness and isolation and leave a meaningful legacy, something greater than ourselves.

Participants will learn about the resources available in her book, including worksheets, assessments and checklists that offer a roadmap for individual planning. These resources include unique guidance for adults with no children and those who are aging alone for other reasons.

Refreshments served.
